Lockdown Thought — Day 33

To know that we are loved but not for anything we do or achieve, not for our looks, or our cleverness, is an important psychological building block, a social standing place and spiritual comfort. To be loved not for who we are but because we inherit love is something else. It does not happen in all families but when it does it is extraordinarily freeing. Love is there before we are; we come into it. It's the love that we grow in and from our bubbles.

Warm our last day in level 4 lockdown
with confidence in what we've done together
gratitude for slowing the spread of coronavirus
resolve to keep to the level 3 restrictions
compassion for those struggling with quarantine and
for those who have lost loved ones
And, save us from behaving idiotically
from ignoring reality
from heedlessness of restrictions
from putting others at risk
Loving God

To keep us smiling and encouraged:
