Lockdown Thought — Day 26

It’s no mystery, this building of community. We know how to do it. We will always need to respond to new and challenging contexts, but the wisdom of how to build community — how to offer our presence and service and friendship — lies within us all. We're doing it in our bubbles and will continue in the communities of our neighbourhood, region and country.

With full hearts, Holy One, we give thanks
For our well-being despite the challenges of staying 26 days at home
For the opportunities being at home has given
For the solidarity shown around our country
For our leaders at this time of pandemic
For the Covid-19 information we're given daily
For the cooperative research into Covid-19 around the world
For the generous, diverse and community-minded sharing through technology
For the indefatigable ministry of those in essential services
For the lowering infection rates across our country
For the announcement today about how we are doing
For our resilience in accepting the decision
For all the good will and encouragement around us.
We remember those ill and dying in the world
May our efforts here contribute to stopping the virus and healing the world.
We are grateful, we are loving and loved, we live this day appreciatively in hope.
