Revised EOTC Guidelines
We have made important revisions to our Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) guidelines.
Following the updates from Education Outdoors New Zealand, we have revised and updated our guidelines around EOTC. These revisions support the planning and delivery of ETOC at our school to ensure quality, safe learning experiences beyond the classroom.
You will notice some of these changes coming through as events and activities continue to take place at Tūtira Ashgrove School. We are now asking for more informed consent from parents/caregivers around medium to high risk activities, more in-depth Volunteer forms, Driver Agreements and Passenger Permission for private vehicle travel.
Please don't be offended if we seek more information under our Volunteer or Driver agreements, its all about ensuring the quality and safety of our events.
Please also ensure your carefully read consent forms for medium-high risk events to ensure you understand so you are making an informed consent.
Students will not be able to attend EOTC events without signed consent forms.
As always, if you have any questions about our EOTC events, activities or planning, please contact the teacher in charge or the EOTC Coordinator, Jo Keane at jokeane@ashgrove.school.nz.
