Brainstorm how you might create a promotional campaign to educate other people in your school community about the main ideas.
Create a video promoting this and post it to this website to inspire others.
Educator Notes
To provide further challenge:
Get students to do some analysis of the proportions of people at different ends of the 'dollar street' continuum.
Contact Dollar Street and get involved as a class to contribute some photos from NZ.
Get students to design and conduct research in their community using the ideas from Dollar Street.
Get students to design and conduct research into how the media portrays different people and cultures over time. Present this back to the community in the form of a video/website.
To simplify:
Create a graph with students as a class to represent where they think they are on the continuum.
This might be a good statistical investigation to conduct across the school.
