Rangi's Corner

Kirstin Douglass —

Read about some of the great things Rangi has spotted around our school recently. This week Rangi celebrates our students sharing what they have been learning about Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Rangi Ruru is the character who represents our learners. Rangi uses our school values and has definitely got ‘what it takes’ to be a great learner and a part of our community.

Rangi has been flying around the school, watching all the amazing learning happening this term. Our QuEST has been all about understanding that communities need rules that are fair and make sense to everyone. We have seen so many of you thinking deeply about Te Tiriti o Waitangi / The Treaty of Waitangi, and it has been incredible to see what you have learned in such a short time.

Rangi has been especially proud watching this video, where learners from our youngest Pīwakawaka team to our oldest Tui team share their thoughts. You have shown that you have what it takes! By thinking about why rules exist and who they affect, you are thinking about your thinking. And by listening to different perspectives, you are showing youcan relate to others.

Keep up the great mahi, team! We can’t wait to see where this learning takes you next.
