Celebrating Sporting Achievements
We are excited to share the wonderful sporting achievements for three of our talented students!
Max Hu (Room 4) – Speed Skating Champion!
Over the weekend, Max Hu took part in the speed skating competition hosted by the St John’s Club of Whanganui. We're thrilled to announce that Max placed 1st in the Juvenile Boys category, scoring the highest total points of all competitors. As a result of his outstanding performance, Max was awarded a $100 prize by the host club. What an incredible achievement!
Let's all congratulate Max and celebrate his dedication and hard work in this exciting sport. Max is sure to be pleased if we can all acknowledge his success!
Benson Zhao (Room 8) – Gold Medal Snowboarder!
We also have some fantastic news from Benson Zhao, who has earned his Gold Medal at the recent SSNZ (Snow Sports NZ) snowboard race! Benson has worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone, and his achievement is a testament to his perseverance and skill on the slopes. We are so proud of Benson for his success and doing so well in the competitive snowboarding world. Congratulations, Benson!
Eva Caskie (Room 6) - Taekwondo Champion!
We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievement of Eva Caskie who recently competed in a Taekwondo tournament and took 1st place in her belt category! Eva, the only female red belt black tip in her group, impressed everyone by sparring against a male competitor and winning her heat.
Eva’s talent and hard work earned her the MVP prize for the tournament, a fantastic recognition of her skills and sportsmanship. Representing Global Martial Arts alongside four other athletes, this was only Eva's second tournament, and she’s already looking forward to competing again next year.
Way to go Eva!
Max, Benson and Eva have worked tirelessly to reach these milestones, and we are so proud of them. Please join us in celebrating their achievements. Your support means the world to them!
Keep up the great work, we can’t wait to see what you achieve next!
