Rangi's Corner
Read about some of the great things Rangi has spotted around our school recently. This week Rangi celebrates our learners sharing about Ramadan at our Upper Harbour Me Assembly
Rangi Ruru is the character who represents our learners. Rangi uses our school values and has definitely got ‘what it takes’ to be a great learner and a part of our community.
Recently a group of our learners—Talia, Simra, Lujain, Nasma, Maryam, Inayat, Raneem, and Saif—shared their experiences of Ramadan, helping us all to better understand and appreciate this special time in the Islamic calendar.
They spoke about the importance of gratitude, self-discipline, and community, and how fasting encourages reflection and empathy for others. Their thoughtful sharing demonstrated many of the qualities we nurture through our WiTS as they had to think about their thinking, relate to others, and connect and communicate their ideas. They shared about how their 'can-do' attitude helps them, and got actively involved at assembly to show they have What it Takes
We are incredibly proud of these students for leading this learning and celebrating their culture with our school community. Ramadan Mubarak!
