UHC music students and bands have had the privilege of working with Lisa Tomlins. HOD of Music Ms Clarke tells us about the day long visit.

Lisa is a well known musician in the music industry having worked in LAB, Fly My Pretties, Rhombus, Fat Freddy’s Drop as well as being one of the tutors at Te Auaha (Weltec/Whitireia).

The students involved gained some valuable insights about the industry and what it is like working all over the world as a New Zealand Musician. They also played their original songs or covers for feedback.

We are very grateful to the New Zealand Music Commission for funding and setting up this wonderful opportunity and we look forward to working again with them to continue to have mentors come through and inspire students of UHC.
