Year 9s visit Wellington Zoo

UHC Admin —

Year 9 Japanese students have ventured into Wellington to further their knowledge of the language. 9BW's Nathan Tagura walks us through the trip.

We went to learn more about Japanese animal names and to see what was new at the zoo.

We learnt how to say animals like gibbon (tenagazaru), tiger (tora), lion (raion), and many more.

Sensei Watanabe assigned us to go on a scavenger hunt with these booklets, learning facts and visiting various areas of the zoo.

We had a great time overall, even getting to order food at the cafe. Arigato to everyone who helped plan the trip, especially Sensei.
