Students pumped to donate blood
The New Zealand Blood Service held a mobile blood drive with over 70 senior students donating. Teacher and organiser Ingrid Hofsteede tells how the event flowed.
Students and staff took time from their day recently to make a donation that could help save the lives of many other people.
Thank you so much to all involved- we hope you all sign up to do it again next year!
It is important that we encourage students into a lifetime habit of donating blood and making a worthwhile contribution to their community.
In order to donate blood, each student must answer a health questionnaire and have a private confidential interview with a nurse to determine if they are eligible to give blood.
