Year 10 student Lily Candy has received an outstanding nominee certificate for the national Girl Boss Awards, while fellow UHC student Emily Barr was also nominated.

The Girl Boss awards are a nationwide search for trailblazing young women who are defying stereotypes and creating change in their communities.  These awards celebrate inspiring young leaders, facilitators, role models, and innovators.

Both Emily and Lily have been actively involved in a variety of sporting and cultural activities.  

Lily is involved in hockey, basketball, volleyball, touch rugby, a house leader, the 'Great Gatsby' production, interschool athletics and BMX nationals.

Meanwhile Emily has actively been involved in touch rugby, athletics, volleyball, netball, basketball as well as harriers events.
