Successful UHC Week

Sophie Weston, Julia Mongomery —

Hundreds of students have been involved in the 2023 UHC Week enjoying various events and competitions including lip sync battles, house drama competition, talent quest and the opportunity to enjoy food trucks.

Lip Sync Battle

The Arts Committee hosted the first ever Lip Sync Battle! Each House had a maximum of 10 in their team, these students then heard the song for the first time ever and within five minutes were putting a performance on!

Each House did really well with the quick turn around and used their props very creatively, ultimately Te Kanawa came out on top with a resounding first place from all three judges!

House Drama

The Drama Games hosted and organised by our lovely Drama teacher Mr Towersey were lots of fun. Houses were organised into teams of five and participated in competitive rounds of charades against each other.

Food Trucks

At lunch time students could purchase food from a range of food trucks including Fresh Donuts, Mr Whippy and Loaded Fries. The trucks were well received and students patiently waited in line, some all of lunch time, to get their chosen food.

UHC's Got Talent

UHC’s Got Talent had many people attending to watch amazing students perform a variety of songs and performances against each other, judged by three fantastic teachers.

With a huge turnout of audience, it was a wonderful experience with heaps of students supported the performers with loud cheers and clapping.
