At UHC we are working hard to ensure all students attend school, and arrive on time, to maximise the learning time they have in the classroom. Support from home is vital in ensuring this happens.

As part of this, the school is texting parents/ caregivers of students if they are marked absent.  It is important that home is well aware if a student misses a class.

In some circumstances, students are marked down as absent, turn up late to class but a text has already been sent.  Attendance does get changed by subject teachers if a student is late, and if it is after five minutes it is noted what time the student arrive.

These texts are sent to alert parents that their son or daughter is not in class when they should be.
