Kiwiana Christmas Floats Wanted!

UHC Admin —

The annual Upper Hutt Santa Parade is wanting floats that will align with the theme of ‘Kiwi Christmas’.

Hitting Main St on Sunday 6 December at 3.00 pm, organisers are hoping for things that represent a Kiwi Christmas such as summer, pavlovas, or singlets!

Director Carla Steed is working with the Upper Hutt City Council to deliver the 2020 Santa Parade, and says "with the year we've all had she knows there are so many people looking forward to it".

There is no entry fee for floats but there is a $1,000 prize for the float that best reflects the ‘Kiwi Christmas’ theme, and a $250 prize for the People’s Choice Award, voted for by the public on the Upper Hutt City Council Facebook page in the week following the parade.

If you’d like to take part you’ll need to register on our website atwww.upperhuttcity.com/santa-paradeby 15 November.

Following the parade there will be a Christmas Party at H2O Xtreme for a free Christmas party.
