Staff News

UHC Admin —

We have had several changes in our staff recently.

We farewelled Vicki Scott, who has been our Careers Advisor and teacher in the Pathways/Transition area. Vicki has moved to a position at Heretaunga College.

Welcome to AJ Pickard and Una Johnson, teacher aides in the Learning Support team.

Patrick Smith, teaching in Pathways, Social Sciences, PE and Health is another new addition to our staff.

Kerry Weston, who is currently our Gateway Coordinator, has been appointed Careers Advisor.

Congratulations to Paul Fairfield, currently Assistant HOD PE who was also appointed to the International Dean position.

Leaving at the end of Term 2:

Aisha Atherton, who started her teaching career with us in a fixed term role in Social Sciences. We wish you all the best with your career.

Lyn Cumming, who has been our Science Technician for over 20 years and is now retiring. Thanks for your stalwart service to all the Science teachers you have worked with over this time and we wish you all the best in retirement.

Phil Carver, Manager: Business & Infrastructure joined us in 2015 with a wealth of experience in finance and administration after working in the Ministry of Education. He has played a significant role in overseeing the financial aspects of the college, working with property issues and developing our business footing. His calm and unflappable manner will be missed as he moves on to new adventures.

Not leaving, but taking maternity leave for 12 months, is Erike Knebel-Mulholland - enjoy this very special time.
