Bear Hugs for Valentines Day

UHC Admin —

UHC was visited by a small but efficient group of 'cupids' who were intent on sharing good wishes and messages to celebrate the day of romance. These cupids suspiciously bore the resemblance of members of the Student Council. Head Girl Shakira Khan and Head Boy Dhanraj Soni tell us about the day.

On Tuesday the 16th of February we celebrated Valentine's Day as a school.

Students and staff had the opportunity to purchase a teddy bear and have it delivered to a special someone along with a heartwarming message.

With the overwhelming support of the staff and students, this year we managed to sell 140 teddy bears. The proceeds from this event will go towards funding the Student Council for 2021.

The teddy bears were delivered by our Year 13 cupids, a small group of students who gave up their time to sell and organise the bears. The cupids wore togas to deliver the bears and brought plenty of spirit and smiles to this event.

Finally a big thank you to every student and staff member who was involved in this event, especially our amazing librarian Ms Bloomfield who goes above and beyond every year to make this event happen. None of this would’ve been possible without all of you.
