Students unite to wear pink

UHC Admin —

Students and staff at UHC united to celebrate Bullyfree Week by wearing pink. Student Ryan Grant-Derepa reflects on the day.

The Student Wellbeing Committee organised a fun way for the students of Upper Hutt College to enjoy Pink Shirt Day.

The great thing about this awesome activity was that all the students could get a sausage or candy floss free of charge. No wonder it was so popular!

At Upper Hutt College the teachers and staff take very innovative approaches into supporting the rangitahi, especially when it comes to addressing concerns students have around the school.

Also students who went all out today wearing pink to support this anti-bullying day were given chocolates for their creativity and effort.

At UHC we strive to provide a safe, supportive, and successful environment for all students.
