Keiran revs up at Nationals

UHC Admin —

Year 11 student Keiran Mair has been lighting up the motor racing tracks around the country.

Recently he wrapped up his Nationals season road racing at Taupo Motorsport Park.

In the entry level class of 150 Super Sport, he finished 4th, despite racing the least competitive bike in the field of 19 bikes throughout the series.

He raced the much faster Yamaha machines all year and proved that determination and training will yield an extremely positive result.

For the very competitive 300 Super Sport class, he finished an well earned 18th over all in a 43 bike series with three top 10 race finishes out of the total of 15 races competed and one DNF (did not finish) in Invercargill. As the youngest competitor in the field with the least race experience this is an incredible result and we’re very proud of the way in which Keiran conducted himself throughout the season.

His rider coach is very impressed with his progress and as reward for his hard work, Keiran has been offered a very rare ride on a locally built, Moto 3 Grand Prix type bike for the upcoming Victoria Motorcycle Club local race series.

Images are of of Keiran racing his Suzuki Gixxer 150 (blue bike) in 150 SS and his KTM RC390 (orange bike) in 300SS.
