Outdoor Education and Adventure Classes get out and about.

International Department —

This term has seen the Outdoor Education Classes and the Adventure Classes enjoying a variety of activities.

The Outdoor Education Classes have been enjoying tramping and overnight stays in the Tararua and the Orongarongas mountain ranges.  Students spent the day tramping and stayed overnight in the department of conservation huts, where they demonstrated their navigation and leadership skills for NCEA assessments.  Other senior students went out to the coast to scale the rocks to test their rock climbing skills, while the juniors visited the local indoor rock climbing facility to learn the basics under the guidance of qualified instructors.
