Plethora of pink at UHC

UHC Admin —

Upper Hutt College held our annual Pink Shirt Day which encouraged students to dress up in their best pink outfit, as well as enjoy a free sausage sizzle, candyfloss, and music from the band at lunchtime. Student Wellbeing Committee member, Grace Tilley reports.

Pink Shirt Day is a great opportunity for students to show their support towards the anti-bullying movement, so it was fantastic to see so many people dressed up!

The Wellbeing Committee and Student Council helped to organise and run the event, as well as the QSA who ran a fun chalk-drawing activity where students could write positive messages outside in pink chalk.

Despite the weather it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, thank you to everyone who participated and wore pink.
