Successful NCEA 2021 Results
Despite the disruptions of the year, once again our students gained excellent NCEA results
Key results included:
- NCEA Level 1 – a pass rate of 90% (up from 85% in 2020), which was well above national and decile averages. It was also the highest pass rate of any co-ed school in the Wellington region. Pass rates for Numeracy and Literacy remained well over 90%
- NCEA Level 2 – 85% of our students gained this qualification, sitting well above the national average of 79%.
- NCEA Level 3 – 75% of students gained Level 3, continuing the positive result of the previous year of 74%.
- While we are very pleased with our results this year, we also recognise that there are areas to continue to focus on. One of these is the pass rates of Maori and Pasifika students at Year 11 (important to experience success at this level). Although 78% of our Maori students gained NCEA Level 1, compared to a national pass rate of 56%, and 79% of our Pasifika students passed, compared to 61% nationally. We will continue to support our students to achieve to their potential.
The number of students who gained their NCEA with an endorsement was very pleasing. Congratulations to the following students:
