The Wellington Regional heat for the Smokefree Rockquest heats have taken place with UHC entry Hellcyon successfully navigating through to the Regionals. HOD Music Louise Clarke talks us through the success.

The competition is about writing original music and performing it live to an enthusiastic audience, which this year was at Sacred Heart Performing Arts Centre in Lower Hutt. 

There were two sessions with 30 bands from schools in the region competing. This year Upper Hutt College had the band Hellcyon, made up of Year 12 students Harry Bonsey and Samuel Donoghue, competing.

They did such a stellar performance that they have earned a place in the online Regional Finals.

Well done to Hellcyon and the other competitors for stepping up and performing.
