9ST's Zoe Hilton is proving herself to be a runner with huge potential. Sports Activator Chris Campbell reports.

It was a record breaking start to Zoe's Upper Hutt College athletics career after winning the 3000m race in a time of 11:04:66s at the Hutt Zones Athletics Championships at Newtown Park. 

Zoe's form continued at the Wellington Regional champs where she placed 2nd but achieved a personal best time of 10:59:50s, booking herself a place at the North Island champs in the process.

At the North Island Champs in Palmerston North, Zoe ran ANOTHER personal best, shaving 10 seconds from her previous PB. 

Posting a time of 10:49:25s for her 3km gallop, this outstanding effort earned her 2nd place and the silver medal. 

Zoe says she LOVES running and athletics so it will be exciting to see what the future has in store for her!
