Senior Art Show

UHC Admin —

Whanau and students are invited to attend the annual UHC Senior Art Show in the school hall on Tuesday Nov 16th between 4:30 and 6:30pm. Head of Art, Rachel Clark, is extremely impressed with this year's work and tells us what we can expect.

Despite the disruption of Level 4 lockdown (again), our seniors have once again demonstrated resilience and determination to complete their portfolios to the highest standard.

This year the Senior Art Show will consist of around 120 portfolio boards from Years 11-13 students including Design, Photography, Printmaking and Painting.

Student of Note: Year 13 student Olivia Rose was awarded 1st in Painting and 1st in Photography this year and received the Tony Yung Cup for Photography. Olivia is entered for Level 3 Scholarship in both Painting and Photography and has been awarded a ‘Úndergraduate Scholarship’ from Massey University worth $5000 to pursue tertiary study at their College of Creative Arts.

People’s Choice Award:

As with every year all visitors to the show can vote for their favourite portfolio. Votes are tallied up and students placed first, second and third will receive an art prize pack.

Please sign in upon entering the college hall and wear a mask at all times whilst visiting the show.  If you are unwell we ask that you don't attend.
