Caitlin gains her Umpiring Badge
Year 12 student Caitlin Holmes has worked super hard this season to achieve her Intermediate Umpiring Badge for Netball. Our Sports Department's Shelley Shaw runs through Caitlin's success.
Netball umpires need to sit a Junior/Intermediate theory test, which Caitlin passed earlier in the season. She then worked with her umpiring coach and easily passed her Intermediate practical recently.
Caitlin umpires a number of UHC netball games every weekend and is at the courts for hours. She is always happy to offer her time for umpiring trials, exchanges and even training games. Caitlin also plays in our UHC Purple team who are self coached and have made the Collegiate 2 final.
We are looking forward to supporting Caitlin through her next stage of umpiring and achieving her Centre badge. We have many umpires in training that can see what can be achieved and are keen to follow in Caitlin's footsteps.
