Minute to Win It
Te Kanawa House hosted their annual House event of the year and what a fun event it was! TK student leader Elizabeth Kananghinis talks us through the challenge.
We wanted to create a House event that was inclusive and ensured everyone had a good time and what better way to do it than with a Minute to Win It competition!
We started off splitting everyone into their Houses and assigning them their first challenge.
There were 5 challenges for them to do, they included flipping cups, basketball hoop shots, bottle flipping, hacky-sack throwing and hula hoop toss.
Once the different challenges were explained to each House, we started the timer and the countdown was on!
They had to do as many successful shots as they could in one minute and each successful shot counted for a point for their House.
Some challenges were easy, and some not so easy but the students had fun!
Each House also got to rotate around the challenges twice, giving them a chance to redeem themselves if they struggled the first time!
There was music and lollies, and overall it was an enjoyable and friendly House competition.
Te Kanawa and Jackson tied for first place, Blake came in third and Hillary in fourth place.”
I've also shared a google drive with the photos from the event!
