Careersfest a hit with students
The Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted another successful careers event on Tuesday 30 July at the Lower Hutt Events Centre. Over 50 Year 12 and 13 students from Upper Hutt College went down to check it out.
Students had the opportunity to talk to people from over 70 different organisations, from roofing companies to tech companies, apprenticeship programmes to Universities and recruitment agencies.
Most students were seen engaging in some really good conversations with a range of different people. A few got to try out different activities and some came away excited about finding a job or pathway to pursue once they leave school.
This was a really worthwhile event and we thank the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce for planning this and providing this valuable opportunity for students.
