International students settle into life at UHC

UHC Admin —

It has been exciting to welcome 30 International students to our college in Term One. Deputy Principal Janetta Van Maren sums up start of the year for our welcome guests.

This year our International students come from a variety of countries including Japan, Germany, Italy and Vietnam. They are in a range of different year levels and add to the wonderful cultural diversity of our college.

For some students it wasn’t a smooth journey to NZ with Auckland International Airport closures and disruptions to flight schedules, but all have now arrived and are settling into life with their new Kiwi families and student buddies at school.

It has been great to see them joining in and making the most of the opportunities available at Upper Hutt College
