UHC National Sporting Champion and Representatives honoured

UHC Admin —

It is with great pride that we can celebrate a National Champion in running, a NZ Men's Development team Floorball player and a number of Wellington Rugby and Rugby League representatives. Director of Sport Chris Campbell runs through the exciting successes.

Zoe Hilton Year 9

Congratulations to Zoe Hilton (runner #196 in the image) who won the U14 girls division at the New Zealand Cross Country Championships in July. In Zoe’s words the race conditions were FREEZING!! Zoe managed to stay among the group of eight girls that were frontrunners throughout the race and then timed her sprint finish to perfection, something that she has been working on. To become a national champion is an incredible achievement and one that Upper Hutt College is incredibly proud of.

Well done Zoe, what an exciting future you have ahead of you!!!

Henry Pritchard Glen Year 10

We are incredibly proud to announce that Henry Pritchard Glen was selected in the New Zealand Men’s Development Floorball team to represent NZ at the upcoming Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation Cup.

Henry will be travelling to Singapore in October to compete against Asia’s best players. Henry is passionate about Floorball and was instrumental in establishing the sport at UHC.

He doubled as captain and coach for the UHC junior team that finished runner up at Nationals earlier this year. Best of luck in Singapore Henry! (Help support Henry through his Givealittle page)
