COVID protection protocols in Term 2

UHC Admin —

We are all pleased with the move to COVID Orange, however we will continue with some of the protection protocols of Term 1 when we return to school.

These will include:

  • Masks will be worn by students and staff when inside (unless otherwise exempted).
  • Assemblies can now take place, with masks being worn
  • Hand sanitiser will continue to be available in classes
  • All visitors to the school will be required to wear masks

We are doing this because we do not know what the impact of the holiday break on the spread of COVID looks like just yet. Students and staff are used to wearing masks, and they are one of the key health measures to help slow the spread of COVID in indoor settings. We also want to continue to take care of students and staff who are more vulnerable to COVID.

We will review this position (undertake a risk assessment) at the end of May.

In the meantime, please:

  • send your child to school with a mask (they are still required on school and public transport)
  • keep your child home if they are sick (let the school know if they have COVID or are a household contact).

Thanks for your support with this.
