Activity Day

UHC Admin —

As the year winds down, our Year 9 and 10 students enjoy a day of different activities based at school and in the community. Here is a taste of what the groups got up to.

Kiwi Kai

Students enjoyed making a selection of goodies and then took platters to other students doing activities at school.

Sports Day

Sports day went well with all students getting involved and getting competitive towards their fellow Year 9 and Year 10 students. We had dodgeball, multisport, volleyball and other activities that were surprisingly dominated by the Year 9's.......sorry Year 10's.

Art Club

Around 18 students took part in the Art Club. Students were encouraged to come to the day with a project and resource imagery to complete an artwork of their choosing. It was a lovely, relaxed rainy day listening to music and creating some stunning artwork.

Textiles Stitching and Hoodie construction

Students chose to construct/finish hoodies or learn embroidery stitches and constructed a French Hen for the Xmas tree or a key chain decoration. We had a lovely day.

Disney Movies

Students at Disney movies enjoyed the choice of two movies to watch at a time. The first room started off with Tangled and followed up with The Princess and the Frog, before ending with Moana.

The second room began with Mulan, followed with Mulan II, and then chose to watch Frozen so they could sing along. Some had brought with them a wide variety of snacks which were shared among friends. Students also enjoyed the snacks brought around by the Kiwi Kai group - these added the piece de resistance to a great day indoors out of the rain
