A sprinkling of magic

UHC Admin —

Year 10 student Aryanna Billington writes about an initiative to bring a some cheer to students.

It’s been troubling times lately, and one can really start to feel down. As a way to combat this, and bring a little fairy magic to our school, Ako teachers pulled out loaves of bread, butter and sprinkles.

Students couldn’t believe their eyes. One-by-one, they lined up and made a piece of delectable fairy bread. The magic started to work when they took their first bite. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. The flavour of happiness.

Pleasant memories of birthday parties, and other fun times including this slice of heaven, passed through everyone's minds. The leftover pieces called students names, begging to be eaten. We all went into period two with full stomachs and big smiles.

Overall, it was an awesome surprise and a delicious treat. I personally believe that the teachers achieved their goal with excellence, and that the fairy bread brought joy to everyone.

Thank you to all who made this piece of magic, joy and hope possible for our school.
