The Duke of Edinburgh Award is alive and well at UHC with a number of students taking up the challenge and working to meet the criteria to gain this. Teacher Mr Carew goes through some of the recent successes.

About 20 students are currently working through the Duke of Edinburgh – Hillary Award - at Upper Hutt College. 

At the end of 2022, 12 had completed their Bronze Award and were moving onto Silver. 

The first two in the current round of the programme at the college to complete Silver were Violette Billington and Angus Williams. 

We congratulate them on their hard work and the great contribution they are making to the programme in the school.
