An enthusiastic group of UHC barbershop acapella singers had the privilege of attending a barbershop acapella workshop alongside other local schools, held at Aotea College. Head of Music Ofisa Taeao runs us through the event.

This kaupapa was led under the guidance of two amazing Barbershop New Zealand ambassadors, Charlotte Murray & David Brooks. This was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about the basics of barbershop singing and rehearse a few songs/tags as a chorus. 

This was truly a valuable experience, and hopefully our students will take the learnings and build the courage to participate in the Young Singers in Harmony regional competition in May. Watch this space!
