VIBE peer support training

UHC Admin —

VIBE will be hosting the peer support training at their Lower Hutt site on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th of April, from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

This is during the upcoming school holidays and is designed for young people who are keen to support their friends, and also be leaders in their community. This is for 14-18 year olds.  Workshops will be held on:

  • Communication
  • Self-Care
  • Alcohol and Drugs
  • LGBTQIA+
  • Bullying & Mediating
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Advocacy
  • Limits & Boundaries

This is a free two-day course, which includes a free lunch on both days, and participants who complete will receive a certificate on the final day.

There are 16 spaces available for young people to attend this programme from across Te Awakairangi. Transport can be provided for those who need it on both days.
