Japanese Students JET to Wellington

UHC Admin —

Year 9 and 10 Japanese students spent a day at the Japanese Embassy in Wellington where they enjoyed learning further about Japanese Culture and the JET programme. Student Stacey Duncan shares her experiences.

On the 13th of November the Year 10 Japanese class, with a few year 9’s, went to Wellington to visit the Japanese embassy.

There we were introduced to a woman named Xan. She taught us about the JET programme and how it works, it was very interesting to learn about.

We then played games to learn about Japan's food culture. Overall the experience was fascinating and special.

After that, we got to experience eating authentic Japanese foods at the restaurant, Yoshi. It was a beautiful place to visit. The food was exquisite and very appetising, the students really enjoyed the day out to Wellington.
