Year 12 student Ricky Huxedurp has enjoyed great success at the NZ Secondary Schools Powerlifting championships.
Ricky not only impressed with his lifting skills but his support of other lifters and positive attitude.
Enroute to the overall 3rd placing, Ricky placed 2nd in his weight division. He also broke the record for the provincial Wellington Central Powerlifting Association in squat, bench, deadlift, and total.
In order to even complete, Ricky had to qualify during the year, winning the Wellington and central competition.
