As part of the ADV301 course, students embarked on their first trip of the year in early March to the Waiohine Gorge.

The class had spent the first weeks of the year practicing fire lighting, trap making, river crossing and most importantly building shelter. 

 Students spent a cold but dry night in the shelter they built.
