Blake & Te Kanawa Houses top the Triple Threat

UHC Admin —

In the inaugral Triple Threat House Competition, it was Blake and Te Kanawa Houses that shared the honours.

Organised by Hillary House student leaders and their Head of House, Anna Jackson, the event was a creative way to bring about some fun competition.

Beginning with a countdown event before trying to beat a partner to collect a cone, winners were then sent into the River Gym for some red light green light.

The final part of the event had students trying to map a path through a pre-determined course with those there first having more time to come up with the best plan to get across.

It was a battle of good strategy, mixed in with some luck.

The result sees Blake House leading the House competition overall, with Te Kanawa House close behind. Following these two are Jackson House with Hillary House in fourth.

Well done to the awesome organisation and leadership of these students. The next event will be part of Matariki celebrations, and will be run by Te Kanawa House.
