ADV301 students survive the test

UHC Admin —

In Term one the Year 13 Adventure classes have been working on survival skills, river crossing, and bush craft.

One of the assessment tasks is managing some simulated emergency situations.

Down at the Hutt River, students worked in small groups and were tasked with creating stretchers to move an injured tramper across the river, they then had to create a shelter for the patient, then light a fire to signal the rescue helicopter.

All groups passed with flying colours, but we are hoping not to use these skills in next term's tramping trips!
