Artists visit Massey University
NCEA Level 3 Art students have taken the opportunity to visit the Massey University Center of Creative Arts and be inspired by what they saw. Head of Visual Arts, Shannon Read, reports.

The top 2024 NCEA Level 3 Art folio boards from all art specialties were recently on display at Massey University. Our Level 3 students visited the Exhibition, and took inspiration to see best practice and to help them with their own projects this year
Students also had a presentation from the Centre tutors about what it’s like to be a university student in the arts and what different pathways and opportunities Massey University offers future students. Students ended the trip with a tour of the campus, which included workrooms, lecture theatres, and art studio spaces.
The trip was a big success - students gained the confidence to push their art practice this year to the best of their abilities. They were also buzzing with excitement about what the future might hold for them after Year 13.
