Awhina take to Wellington for netball competition
Our first AWD trip for 2025 was exciting. We went to Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie.
It was the first time playing netball for the majority of the team. We had a bye so first we played Rongotai for fun and lost. They were great sports.
We were learning our roles. Then we played the Wainui Nuggets, who beat us 13-1. Our last game was against Wellington East Girls' College, who won, 15-1. .
Well done to the whole team and in particular, Luke Frude who scored both our goals.
