During the recent school holidays, 1st XI cricketer Max Wakeham (12AJ) had an unforgettable experience when he was invited to a special reception for the New Zealand and England Test cricket teams.
Hosted by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Minister of Sport & Recreation Chris Bishop at Premier House, the event provided Max with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with some of the top cricketers on the planet.
Not only was the evening filled with lively cricket discussions, but it also gave Max a chance to meet his cricketing heroes and capture photos with them!
Max's exciting encounter with the best in the game is a reminder of the incredible opportunities that sport can offer, and we look forward to seeing how these experiences continue to shape his journey both on and off the field.
