Student leaders play an important role at Villa. Here we introduce you to Head Girl Catherine Grant.

Kia ora, my name is Catherine Grant and I am extremely proud to be the Head Girl at Villa Maria for 2024. My journey at Villa began in 2020 joining the College as a Year 9 student.

Throughout my time I have immersed myself in choirs, Bishop Lyons, Peer Support, the production, hockey and waterpolo. I've enjoyed every second!

I am passionate about hockey, singing, and especially our fantastic College! 

Our goal for 2024 is to bring connection between all students  - with each other and with the wider community.

We have had fantastic success with our first student led assembly where we got to know all of our house leaders as well as hold a singing competition. 

On Wednesday night, a group of us also attended a Combined Schools Mass for new students joining the College community. We were extremely grateful to have Monsignor Rick and Father Alister with us. It was a fantastic way for us to connect with our wider Catholic community!

So far this year, we've also had sports day and swimming sports. So much fun! 

There will be many more times throughout the year to come together like this. I look forward to us working as a team to bring the College together. 

We plan to make this a fantastic year and can’t wait to show everyone what we can do.
