Entry Recommendation

Science 1.5 (Acids and Bases) and Chemistry 1.1 (Investigation 90930) and a minimum of 12 credits in Level 1 Science or on application to the Head of Faculty. The Level 1 Algebra standard in Mathematics (91022) is also recommended.

Introduction

This Level 2 Chemistry course aligns with Material World Curriculum Level 7, evaluated through Level 2 NCEA Achievement Standards. It encompasses both theoretical understanding and practical chemistry skills assessment.

Future pathways 

This course opens doors to diverse pathways. From pursuing higher studies in chemistry, engineering, or medicine, to entering industries like pharmaceuticals, materials, and research.
