Issie Rodgers (Year 10) travelled to Japan at the end of September as a Goodwill Ambassador on the 2024 Kurashiki – Christchurch Sister City Exchange.

In July she and her family hosted a Japanese student from Kurashiki as part of this reciprocal exchange. In Japan, the touring group of Year 10 student ambassadors from Canterbury Secondary Schools stayed with host families, met with the Mayor and other officials in Kurashiki, and travelled to Hiroshima, Miyajima and Osaka. すごい　たいけん　でした。A wonderful experience.
