On Thursday 17th August (1.00 – 6.00 pm) Villa Maria College will hold our Student Learning Ako Conferences for Junior students in Years 7-10.

All Junior students are expected to be at school for their Learning Conference and may wear tidy casual clothes or their uniform. The school will close at 12:00pm. Senior students are not required to stay at school and Juniors can be supervised in the library over the lunch break, if required.

Learning Conferences will be held in Ako classrooms (rooms are listed on the booking site and will be included in your confirmation email) and are fifteen minutes duration. The goal of these Student Learning Conferences is to encourage ownership of learning by reflecting their progress towards established learning goals, strengths and weaknesses across all subjects and to identify next steps.

If you cannot book an interview with your student’s Kaiako please do not hesitate to contact them via email (a list can be found on the website http://www.villa.school.nz/about-us/staff/). If you would like to book an interview with another member of staff as well, for example the Guidance Counsellors, the International Director Emma Aker, or the Careers Advisor, Justine Chinnery you may do so.

Instructions For Booking:
You will find your child’s Ako teacher on their timetable on the portal. Please note that these interviews are for the Kaiako, not for subject teachers. If you wish to discuss your child's learning in a specific subject you are always welcome to contact them via the email addresses mentioned above.

Bookings will be open Monday 31 July and will close 4.00 p.m. the day before the conferences, Wednesday 16 August. If you have any problems with making a booking, please contact Ms Jaime Myer jmy@villa.school.nz for assistance.

3. Follow the instructions and fill in all boxes. You will need your child’s Ako class (e.g. A6, C1, B2 etc) and their Ako teacher/kaiako’s name
