University of Otago DARES you!

Justine Chinnery —

Students got the opportunity to attend the annual University of Otago (DARE) morning.

Held at the University of Otago’s Christchurch Campus this allowed students to discover, achieve, research and engage with degrees at the university. Students heard from current students studying physiotherapy and pharmacy and the ākonga got to connect with ex-pupil Meg Inwood who is in her final year of pharmacy. Graduates talked about biomedical sciences, psychological medicine, oral therapy, dental technology and the two year masters degree in Nursing that anyone can apply for. Along with the presenters the students got to engage with researchers in biomedical engineering, vaping, psychological medicine and biomedical sciences. The morning allowed students to widen their potential career pathways.
