National Swimming Champs success!
Pippa Jory (Year 9), Bella Ealam-Smith (Year 10) and Tayla Ryder (Year 9)
The above students attended the DIV II National Swimming Championships at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre last week.
Pippa Jory (Year 9) had 5 top 10 placings, racing 8 events over 5 days
9th - 400m free (13 yr old girls)
9th - 200m free (13 yr old girls)
5th - 100m fly (13 yr old girls)
5th - 800m free (13 yr old girls)
2nd - 1500m freestyle (13 yr old girls) taking an impressive 45.72 seconds off her entry time

Congratulations to Tayla Ryder who came 2nd and 3rd in two relay races!
Bella Ealam-Smith placed 3rd in the girls 14 years 200m backstroke final.
4th in the girls 14 years 100m backstroke final
4th in the girls 14 years 50m backstroke final
7th in the girls 14 years 50m butterfly final
7th in the girls 14 years 200m Individual Medley final.
She gained personal best times in 10/11 of her events and enjoyed meeting swimmers from all over New Zealand!
