Do you have a passion for teaching and want to make a difference in the lives of young people? Are you confident with online technologies and keen to develop your professional practice? Would you like to work from anywhere with a flexible teaching schedule? Then we would love to hear from you!

We are seeking  eteachers to work online with our primary age students from around Aotearoa New Zealand. You must be an experienced NZ registered teacher, have curriculum strengths in our areas of need, and elearning skills and experience. 

You could be currently working in a school and contributed by your employing school in return for your student participation in Kōtui Ako VLN programmes; or be contracted independently by us for your time.

How does it work?

  • eTeachers signal the programmes they are interested in teaching and availability.
  • Schools from around Aotearoa register their students for programmes.
  • Planning and teaching slides are often available, or support provided to have these developed.
  • Zoom session timetables are confirmed and eTeachers scheduled to teach each week.
  • eTeachers communicate with students (and schools) asynchronously via learning platform and/or email each week.

Who are we looking for?

This can vary depending on the needs of our schools. Currently our priority teaching needs are for Te reo Māori, Kapa haka,  Spanish, Digital Technologies, Extension Maths, Literacy and Gifted & Talented programmes. (If you have a passion or strength in another area please register your interest with us also).
